Obesity and eating disorders are etiology for many diseases. Proper monitoring of diet and exercise can decrease the chances of developing these diseases.

Journal of Obesity & Eating Disorders is a peer-reviewed and open access journal with an aim to provide rapid and reliable source of information in the mode of original articles, review articles, case reports, short communications, etc. in all areas of the field and making them freely available through online without any restrictions or any other subscriptions to researchers worldwide.

This scientific publishs all relevant topics in the area of obesity and eating disorders and the associated areas of obesity like metabolic disorders, childhood obesity, hypertension, cancer, diabetes, bone and joint problems, diet, Sedentary lifestyle, malnutrition and weight loss medication, etc.

Although several important topics are mentioned, yet the journal will not be limiting the consideration for publication, other allied topics will be considered if found suitable under the wide scope of the journal.

Obesity

Obesity means being overweight by the accumulation of excess fat within the body. Obesity is defined to some extent by measuring Body Mass Index (BMI).People become obese by consumption of excess calories, imbalance between calories intake and calories outgoing, leading a sedentary life, lack of sleep , disturbances in lipid metabolism and intake of medications that put on obese.

Eating disorders

In world almost 50% of people are suffering from eating disorders. Among them only 10% are receiving treatment.10- 15% of men are suffering from bulimia nervosa and anorexia nervosa. Among athletes 13% of them are with eating disorders. Mortality is 3.9% for bulimia, 4% for anorexia nervosa and other eating disorder for 5.2%.
