Journal of Obesity & Eating Disorders

We are very delighted to announce the launching of the Journal of Obesity & Eating Disorders. The epidemic wave of obesity and its associated metabolic disorders is spreading to both developed as well as developing countries and carrying with it an increase in number of debilitating illnesses like diabetes, cancer, cardiovascular and neurodegenerative diseases. Eating Disorders are among the many under-looked factors contributing to this rapidly expanding disease of modern life. Therefore, health care and scientific societies are in great need for cooperative research efforts to improve the understanding of this disorder and its available therapies. To help in this respect, we established this motivated, open access journal to allow investigators to communicate their research work in epidemiology, pathophysiology and management of obesity and associated eating disorders to the involved scientific communities. The editorial board will accept original research, clinical trials, reviews, case reports, commentaries and clinical images that will be peer-reviewed by the appropriate section-editor and one to two independent reviewers for eligibility for publication. The editor will then assess the comments of the reviewers and make final decision about accepting the paper, revising or rejecting it. Our editors are very dedicated and will do their best to reply with an appropriate decision to the corresponding author(s) within 2-3 weeks of submission. The editors of the Journal of Obesity & Eating Disorders will be readily accessible by phone, email or during conferences to answer any question or concern regarding our assessment process. We encourage all researchers in the field of obesity and metabolism to support our ambitious journal by submitting their manuscripts through our website.
